9/11/2001 8:46 AM

I am sitting at my desk at work at 8:46. American Airlines Flight 11 crashes at roughly 466 mph into the north face of the North Tower (1 WTC) of the World Trade Center, between floors 93 and 99. Orlando Scott walks into the office and says, “somebody, said a plane hit the WTC.” I immediately reached for my radio, and WSB had some dialog that sounded like the United States Of America was being attacked across the country. At 9:03, the South Tower was hit by United Airlines Flight 175. The radio station Bulletin cuts to Washington DC another plane crashes into the Pentagon and Pennsylvainia!

I Get an urgent call

One of the managers called me to the Bellsouth Provisioning Center, where they had several big-screen monitors, and there I watched the brutal scene playing out right in front of my eyes. I was horrified and petrified to think of all those people who would die if those towers fell. And OMG, and they did just that, one by one, until this holocaust destroyed seven buildings.

This rocked my world

I was emotionally affected, and with the resulting wars, I wondered, what on earth could I do to support the military that was having to deal with terrorist that did this dreadful deed. Over several years, I Honor Your Service To America came to mind. In October 2012, it became an official 501c3 charity explicitly designed to support deployed troops in war zones and another tip of the spear locations worldwide. IHONORUSA became my purpose, my passion for helping our troops. To my surprise, many people agree to support deployed troops worldwide. In case you have not been keeping up, this is what our brave service members have been doing since the 1990s.

Not to mention domestic deployments for hurricanes, other weather-related disasters, chaos in our cities, COVID 19, evacuations, border duty, rescues, fire fighting, just to mention a few things our service members get called on to handle.

Since  2012, I Honor Your Service To America supporters have shipped 1263 care packages to deserving service members worldwide. That equates to 19,464 Lbs of honor, support, and encouragement to our precious men and women serving and sacrificing for our great nation. Now that terrorists everywhere have a safe haven in Afghanistan to export terror around the world. Would you please pray that none of the weapons left for the terrorist in Afghanistan shall prosper against the United States or Israel? It looks like there will be a lot of fighting for the existence of our two countries. Again let’s pray and on behalf of Laurie Simms Secretary and Margery Phelps treasure, Thank you all who have supported this cause to Honor, Support, and Encourage deployed around the world with care packages.
