Why celebrate our troops on the 4th?

4th of July what an awesome holiday!

Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn’s early light,
What so proudly we hail’d at the twilight’s last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro’ the perilous fight,
O’er the ramparts we watch’d, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets’ red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof thro’ the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

If you stop and think about those words part of our National Anthem it make you understand why we celebrate the 4th the way we do. Imagine being on a battlefield “thro’ the perilous fight” and waking up the next day to see our flag was still there!

At the end of the National anthem the words are:

Then conquer we must, when our cause is just,
And this be our motto: “In God is our trust”
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

For this Nation the USA  we have been under Gods favor in location, in resources, and in war. The list goes on and on. Let us not forget those words ‘in God is our trust”.

If you can’t imagine being on the battlefield ask a Vet! A Vet can tell you the fear, the adrenalin rush, the highs and lows, the loss, and the Victory of being in battle. We celebrate those brave men and women in the military and their families who make it possible to celebrate the 4th in freedom!
